UK Music Festivals for the Best Bands

The festival season is just around the corner and organisers are currently finalising booking the bands to perform at over 300 music festivals throughout the UK this summer. Every musical genre is covered from bluegrass to grime and everything in between. For festival organisers, deciding which bands they would like to perform and getting those bookings is no easy task. With so many music festivals, it's a performers market where they can pick and choose the most attractive festivals to perform at, whereas organisers are left to snap up what ever is left before they accept bookings elsewhere.

Whether it's country and western, rock, pop or even jazz bands the organisers are looking for, they need to fill their vacant slots and hire a band before it's too late. Mainstream performers will already have their summer tours organised, but don't despair as there are plenty of lesser known bands who'd jump at the chance to perform at one of the many music festivals the UK has to offer.

Many unknown bands get their first big break playing on the festival circuit and the smart ones will aim to perform at as many as they can, playing each weekend at a different festival. If they're really up to the mark they could find themselves moving up the bill as the festival season progresses, possibly supping one of the popular jazz bands or performers towards the end of the season. This is some of the best publicity an unknown band can get, not to mention the experience they'll gain by performing in front of such a large crowd.
