Super Ska!

The roots of Ska date back to late 1950's Jamaica and is the predecessor to reggae. The story goes that islanders were listening to rhythm and blues broadcasts from the southern United States and merged the sounds with their more familiar calypso beats to create the distinctive 'ska ska ska' rhythms. The 2-Tone sound of Coventry which was prominent in early 80's Britain owes its sound to Ska. The movement spawned bands including The Specials, The Beat and Madness and the style is still popular today.

Hailing from Berkshire are Caymanas Park, a fantastic seven piece ska band complete with brass section to recreate the authentic sounds of Jamaican ska and British 2-tone. The energetic beat and infectious brass will be certain to get your feet tapping as classic hits from the likes of Bad Manners, Desmond Decker, Jimmy Cliff and many more. Caymanas Park have also supported the classic 2-tone band The Selector, and with providence like that, you can't go wrong.

Being one of a variety of reggae and ska bands in the vast stable of Warble Entertainment means you could have your very own Jamaican festival with some of the UK's top ska and reggae bands, with a healthy dose of rocksteady thrown in for good measure.
